Yes, when the radio feed goes to commercial they mute the feed. They also appear to mute the feed during the intermission.

How hard would it be to switch the sound source during intermission from the muted radio feed to the video board sound?

He's 'meh' for TV - ball park the same quality as Gurtler's 1st attempt at PbP. But he absolutely should not be simulcast onto the radio. He's awful for that medium.
