Because of the actions (or more accurately, the inactions) of their medical, training, coaching staffs, & him. F his BS about never ever putting a guy in that situation. We just watched him put him in that situation 2 times in 4 days. Tua is just lucky Frazier only went to the prevent D for a few plays on 1 drive in the 2nd half. Had he been out there more than a handful of plays, he could've taken a real shot. And 1 real hit that would've bounced his head off the lawn again could've been catastrophic.

Website still lists everyone as a Sabre. Thought they usually make the 1st cuts ~1 week before the RS starts or roughly after the 4th PS game. So, likely sometime between tomorrow's game & the weekend is when they make the bulk of the cuts.

Tua is an adult. Is the hospital able to keep him locked inside their facility against his will when he has a medical staff traveling with him? Serious question. Doubt the answer is 'yes' but honestly don't know. The hospital is required to follow HIIPA regulations. THEY aren't releasing ANY information about his health to anyone but Tua and his proxies (the exception being they might have to release info to law enforcement or a court should either become involved). So, really fail to see how the Cincy hospital is covering anything up regardless of his current health situation.

And every single person with a license to practice medicine that was involved in that decision should have their license revoked. Can't even begin to imagine how much money the lawsuit him family will bring should anything go wrong on this flight is going to bring them.

Apparently the protocol are administered by both the team's physicians and an "independent" neurologist. That game last week was Miami's superbowl. No way was Tua sitting out the 2nd 1/2. And now, who knows when or even if he's back. YOU can argue it was in Tua's best interest to pass last Sunday's test. No way this kid will.

He came from Bama, he probably did know a thing or 2 about cheating on a test. 😉 But that does not change the fact that he was concussed when he was gaming the test on Sunday. Which means HE wasn't thinking properly. His brain was injured. There were a lot of sober, coherent people that could've done the right thing & instead did the expedient thing. Don't even particularly like Tua, but hate seeing anybody get messed up like that. And he could be REALLY messed up right now. And, to keep from getting busted in their lie, the Fishies' medical staff couldn't put him in the concussion protocol this week. So, they compounded their original malfeasance.

The question is, does the NFL continue to stand w/ the Fishies in the charade that Tua wasn't concussed last week or do they throw them under the bus? There's no way this hit's result ends up as bad as it was if he wasn't concussed FIVE days ago.

Just posted this on another site & you posted the sentiment here just before the repost: MFer should sue the Fishies coaches & medical staff. They had their 3rd Q active this week because, in AL Michaels' words, "Tua was on the injury report." Those douche monkeys in charge KNEW if he got hit again this was likely to happen. That's 2 major concussions in less than a week.

Congrats to Labatt's Blue. He won after 2 weeks of the relaunch. I'll start a new league for week 5. Maybe we can get through 3 weeks before getting another winner. Have never seen a suicide/survivor season go so kerplewy.

Comrie stopped at least 5 and probably more like 8 breakaways. He really was left on an island far too often. There was nothing he could do on the 1st, had a shooter come clean on him w/ an open teammate on the backdoor on the 2nd. Difficult to fully commit to the shot & he got burned there. The 3rd goal was one he'd like to have back as he was kind of flat-footed & then got handcuffed on a partial breakaway in tight. Don't recall the 4th goal ottomh, but IIRC he was hung out to dry there too on a shortie. In the 1st they were outshot 13-2 & outchanced 20-7. With the ice tilted that badly, being down 2-0 wasn't awful. He gave them a chance. The AHL heavy roster was only down by 1 goal heading into the 3rd. Can't really ask for much more. So, the question remains is he good enough to be a full time starter? Based on this 1 game, maybe. Would like to see him w/ the D that Anderson had to get a better idea about that.

Yeah, should Granato eventually hit a wall w/ a veteran team, a guy who's style is more geared to a vet team becomes more viable (not necessarily Torts, but a guy who is less focused on development). Not a given that Granato will be ineffective with a vet team when the kids eventually become that. He seems to be a good coach for Okposo, Girgensons, Skinner, & Anderson.

No, the compensatory pick belongs to the team that holds his draft rights. If the player is transferred, the rights to that 2nd round pick should he not sign belong to the team that traded for his rights. That comp pick is transferrable.

That signing happened when my kid was in the hospital (he's since fully recovered); didn't even notice it. LOL.

It's a bargain for what he's touted to be. It's about right for what he actually is.

Buffalo to Columbus is 7.5 hours? Huh? It's not even 7.5 hours to Cincy. More like 4 hours to C-Bus. Not sure where the Columbus rink is relative to their airport, but it's nearly 30 minutes to the airport from the MMArena.
