Nevermind. Tickets have now been accounted for.

Pretty sure he meant to say, just like Power played the majority of his D+1 year outside the NHL, Wright probably should've been afforded a similar opportunity. Nobody is advocating to have Power anywhere but the Sabres 2nd pairing. (Even though he still suffers growing pains like any other rookie still in his D+2 year. The good far exceeds the ooopsies.)

Person I was going with had to back out so I now have an extra ticket to tomorrow's game. Seats are in the 300's but they are VERY good for the nosebleeds. PM me if you're interested. Mods, if this thread isn't kopacetic here feel free to move it. Just trying to let a Sabrespacer get to the game & it's kind of time sensitive at this point. Thanks.

The Eichel 2022-23 Thread: "I'm not bitter -- I'm just interested."

Would be quite surprising, but still would prefer it to them getting in. -

To you, the truthfulness of the statement doesn't matter. We don't agree. Have not trashed him. Actually enjoyed watching him play when he was healthy and do still have fond memories of plays he made. But will not let him lie about his time here without calling a spade a spade. And want Vegas to miss the playoffs because the Sabres hold their 2nd round pick. After this year don't really care how they do provided they lose a certain 2 games each year. -

What was inaccurate about the post you gave a big X to? And where was there any reference at all to what was said about him? The post you reacted to was in reference to another poster saying Eichel was right in what he said. He wasn't correct and the poster my post responded to has been incorrect as well. There were many games the home crowd was loud when Eichel was a Sabre. Was it a majority of times? Absolutely not. But he was not correct and whatever his motivation for stating that was not addressed by yours truly. Merely pointed out he was wrong, and actually full of doo doo to be honest, in what he said. -
It's true, Clague has looked alright since getting paired w/ Power. In fairness, both Pilut & Fitzgerald would likely look better being paired w/ Power as well. Unfortunately for them, they're each getting paired w/ a guy who's a 6-8. And expect, Pilut &/or Fitzgerald and Clague would look significantly worse than Larry & Casey have looked together.

Yep. Expecting a lot of mini pack holders chose the Vegas game as one of their 5+ games. Hoping they decided to go to 2 in a row, but expecting a big chunk of those tix sold Saturday are B's fans. Still a pretty fair # of them in Ra-cha-cha from them being the B's farm club prior to the Amerks becoming the Sabres feeder back in '79. -
WRONG. And correct. But things change, and when they do they don't stay the same, which is why you are wrong.

His barb back wasn't about just last season's attendance, it was about his entire tenure and it was a crock of doo doo. -
And hopefully this game is a wakeup call for them. Because of the circumstances of the Fishies loss between injuries and the weather, that wasn't really a game to remind them that 'stuff can happen on any given Sunday if you don't bring your A-game.' This one should have shown them that in high definition. Doubt they end up double digit favorites over the Vikes, but if Milano is back & Allen is on his game, could easily see them putting a hurting on the former Purple People Eaters.

In fairness to @PerreaultForever, when he 1st started talking about this kid, all we had in this thread was the incident he was convicted of. Which, while heinous, was something done by a kid very early in his teen years. We do still believe in second chances and that people, especially young ones, can be redeemed. That the behavior was indicative of a multi year bullying campaign of the other child wasn't presented in this thread at that time. Still hope the bully can be redeemed, but the little bit we've seen does indicate that may be beyond him at least at this stage in his life and maybe it always will be. It appears that he is not taking responsibility for his actions and he also appears to still be extremely immature. Whether he's trying to make amends or not, glad he's the Bruins problem and not the Sabres one.

If Allen does have an injury he's battling through, that could be a real problem. But it didn't seem physical. It was more he either wasn't on the same page with the receivers or he just wasn't seeing defenders in the window. Either of which SHOULD be an easy fix. They need to get Milano back. A lot of the big runs through the heart of the defense would've been shut down if he were in the lineup. They should be ticked. Hopefully they play with a chip on their shoulder vs Minny.

Correct. It's giving them another "we can't simulate this in practice" environment. As much as it is BEYOND frustrating to watch them not do everything possible to give THEIR CHOSEN group its best chance to win today, they are officially in the "we want them to win consistently in the LT and winning today is gravy" phase of the program. Don't see where bringing another D hurts in the LT (w/ the exception that Pilut or other D-man MIGHT get claimed should they all get healthy again, which isn't especially likely at this point) but Adams is only going to bring somebody in if it actually builds toward his LT vision and doesn't merely not hinder it.

Could be. The timing of him going back to "sugar rush" Josh was pretty coincidental.

Tigers looking to maul some Dawgs in 4 weeks. ;) Geaux Tigers! (Stinks that Kelly is the coach. Really dislike that guy.)

Hinostroza wondering if Granato will let him start taking reps on D. ;)
-
They'll win Tuesday & will be up for Thursday's game too. If they have Dahlin & Lyubushkin vs Vegas really like their chances in that one too. Will have them back on a playoff pace even if they play the normal stinker against the B's.

He was playing well until he forced that faceoff early in the 3rd. Not sure if he retweaked the leg injury there or just got too gassed, but he wasn't the same after that.

Don't you have a waitress to stalk?

On that 1 of 3. ;)
-
1 of 3. Not exactly 60%. And not sure if it was him or Olofsson that was off. Thought it was Mitts , Rayzor was blaming it on Olofsson.
-
Umm, the 2 immediately consecutive ones were the Krebs line & then the Cozens line. Mittelstadt had nothing to do with either. Or were you referring to Fitzgerald? ;)
-
So, they aren't expected to give up any and because they're giving up so few goals against multiplying that really low expected goals against by a big number still results in a low expected goals for. Very LOG Line like indeed. If they can get to the point that they're playing the other teams' top lines and still doing that, that's helping to win a lot of games.

Pretty sure the attempt to add "human drama" is an attempt to get non-sport fans to watch. Doubt it works.
