  1. Youppi! is the Habs mascot. The Otters have some lame cowardly lion as their mascot. The morons didn't even go w/ an Otter. Pinheads.
  2. After the trade deadline, which IIRC falls on March 3, they can carry as many players as they want on the active roster provided they don't exceed the cap. At this point of the season because of the banked cap they have accrued they could bring in pretty much an entire roster's worth of cap and not exceed it. And they most certainly will have Levi on the roster for a bit to burn his 1st ELC year. Pretty sure he'll at least need to dress as the backup for 1 game to do so, so he'll get that much action at a minimum. And am 100% willing to guarantee he doesn't see the ECHL unless it is on something weird like a conditioning stint post injury.
  3. We shall see. He almost definitely will be on the Sabres roster this year after NU's season is done. If he actually gets into any games, he might surprise in a good way. In the off-season, he's been facing NHLers since his midterms. He won't need nearly as much time in Ra-cha-cha as most are expecting. Could see him taking the Sabres crease by Christmas unless UPL or Comrie take their games to another level.
  4. They didn't travel on only the 3 westernmost road trips this year. They made all the other trips. Believe Duff & Biron went on 1 or 2 of the trips, but they might've been left at home for all them.
  5. Does anybody know why when Matt Beniers became an injury scratch for the ASG, he got replaced by Stephenson of Vegas? The Krackers ended up the only team w/out an AS rep. Also, on a slightly different note, the Sabres Store does have a few Thompson ASG sweaters for sale. They don't have any Dahlins because with him being a late add, Adidas and Fanatics didn't put together any Dahlin kits.
  6. Levi really couldn't do anything on either goal. The 1st was true cross ice tic-tac-toe passing. The 2nd, he made a blocker save off a screen & the puck went off his C's leg over to his left where the Harvard goal scorer (Coronato had both goals) shot it in before Levi could figure out where the puck had detected to. Both Northeastern goals were also scored by the same player (Fontaine). This Levi kid just might be a keeper.
  7. He got his break in 2 Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place (pizza joint? pizzeria?). He also was the Green Lantern in another of a long line of bad DC movies. (If Batman isn't in it, there's a really good chance it'll be bad if it's from DC.) The gin company is Aviator.
  8. Really? He wasn't healthy this year since the Jest loss. (Possibly since the GB game.)
  9. They're based in Wales. Pretty sure they play in the 2nd oldest soccer stadium in the world. They were EPL 20 or so years ago and have worked their way 3 or 4 levels below that since. They came very close to moving up a level last year, but ended up short.
  10. Wrexham. 1 level above semi-pro.
  11. Guess there is an active shooter on Michigan State's campus right now. Supposedly a couple of people are dead.
  12. Star of the Green 2 Guys, a Girl, & a Deadpool. Pretty sure he's now Welch.
  13. So Cal Petersen FINALLY provides some modicum of value to the Sabres by keeping Chychrun out of the Kings lineup tonight. Sweet.
  14. Didn't Hall sit about 8 games waiting for the inevitable trade to Beantown? If they've made the decision he's gone, he won't wear pachinka again.
  15. Agree w/ the bolded, but these refs let that exact play go repeatedly for over 58 minutes. It's that they changed what they were calling at a point when there wasn't enough time left for 1 team to overcome it. (And wanted the AFC Squad to win. ALWAYS root for the AFC as long as their representative isn't a cheating bunch of chowdah heads.)
  16. We gave most of the drills names. (Easier for the kids to recall what to do during them.) Obviously, those were called "Herbies."
  17. No data. MSG didn't carry his post game comments on the Post Game Show.
  18. True. And one corollary to that is, it is possible that one (or more) of the players that people here consider untouchable ends up in a couple of years, not just touchable, but actually moved because the return for them (especially when looking at the full cap ramifications) either makes the team significantly better now or extends the window out significantly, or both. And somebody that people want to see moved might not be (at least not in the next year or 2) because they come in at a low cap hit, fill a role that management wants them to continue to fill, or they wouldn't bring back in return anything that makes the team better nor extends the window; perhaps all 3.
  19. Anything less than 4 points on this road trip will be extremely disappointing. (Basically add 4 to whatever they get in LA to figure out what they SHOULD get.)
  20. Interesting. Those lines could work.
  21. Really? After being a Sabres fan through the Rolston, Nolan, Housley, & Krueger years, wouldn't expect not hearing a goal horn would be that strange. 😉
  22. But they might get a McCabe, which IMHO is a bigger need than a Chychrun.
