But the '24 2nd isn't included in your writeup. The Otters gave up their '23 1st (w/ conditions that could slide it to '24), Washington's '24 2nd (w/ conditions that it could become a 1st in '25) , and their '26 2nd. You seem to be missing a pick.

Would be very surprised if he doesn't. Granato seems to give goalies that got wins against a team once the next game against that same team. UPL was in net on New Year's Eve. The only fly in the ointment is who does Adams send down to Ra-cha-cha to make room for Stillman? @lgr4gm, good post overall. But why are you discounting the price of Chychrun to a 1st this year and the 2nd in '26? There's also a '24 2nd that could become another 1st. Not saying that should be a dealbreaker but it does alter the price paid for Chychrun and the deal as presented in your post makes it pretty much a no brainer to get Chychrun but that's not the deal that was made. (Still would like to have seen the Sabres beat the Otters offer.)

Would it change anybody's mind about the trade if it is viewed as Chychrun and a '24 late 2nd rounder for a '23 1st, a '24 2nd (which could become a 1st), a '26 2nd, and Johnson? Doubt it does, but am curious. Because it seems based upon the rumors going around last week that Johnson will be signing with the Sabres, but would be surprised if he does sign with them were they to have Chychrun in house. There'd be 4 entrenched LHD ahead of Johnson on the depth chart were Chychrun here. 3 1sts and a swap of 2nds seems like a lot to give up for him.

They definitely often don't get it right for the violent actions that are well over the line. This one, which wasn't violent but likely would've been considered assault anywhere other than on a rink or a sports field, they probably got right.

Everything about it is special. From it being so tiny, to the beef being carved right next to the bar, to the birch beer they serve. Haven't had pop in probably 15 years, but boy oh boy was that ever good stuff.

Don't see his concern being an inability to beat out the 7/8 guys on the roster, but rather the Sabres being 4 deep in top 4 LH D-men for the forseeable future and the corresponding depression on his future earnings while an RFA with that in front of him. (And that even presupposes that it was/would've been a concern for him. Not a given, pretty sure the poster was merely speculating.)
