Great, now they are gonna win out.

This is awesome. Thank you TP & GMTM and whoever else was involved. It's exactly how a class org should operate. Sign us some locals, give us hooks into the team. Yes of course some more wins and a championship would be nice too, still, well done! I'm pretty sure during the Omaha game the color guy compared him to DATSYUK! I was like wait what? Didn't bother to rewind to confirm. Something about his two way play. Silliness. I think he's a better skater than Varone, probably thinks it a bit more too. I'll go with Flynn, but not as much raw speed and better hands/finish.

Yeah Pelech threw down. I didn't notice Mercier but I've only been to a few games this year. Roster is a lot of "who?". Grabbed the game notes and referred to it often. Sorry about your friend.

Whoohoo! Tough call, glad it went our way.
-
Good call re: Grier. Reminded me of Zemgus a couple years ago in terms of effort/speed/effectiveness, so maybe like Z he grows and shows some O skill down the road too.

Fun 'merks game last night. 3-2 OT win over Hamilton. Meaningless game at this point gut good entertainment. There were a couple guys playing their first games as Amerks, maybe first AHL game? The goalie, Peters, played well and got his first win (2nd try). Carrier looked good, all over the ice, agitating, breaking up plays, solid hits. Didn't notice much offense from him, but he definitely seemed at the top of the talent pool of the guys playing last night. Ruhwedel looked solid too. His numbers for the year are better than I expected. 63pm, 8g, 23a Samuels-Thomas had a nice game. He created some good chances with his speed and pressure. Don't think he's a legit NHL prospect, but maybe a solid AHL career here. Lastly good 'ol Joe Finley was out there for the Bulldogs. Love the guy but glad he was on the other side of the ice, wonder if he'll be back next year.

Heh. My daughter's 4th grade teacher promised donuts this AM if they lost last night. Exactly. Well, stay if you are a good player. But it is surprising how they don't seem to get it. Not saying they have to like it, but at least figure it out.

Vets better miss the net on every shot. Spare me the "pro athletes aren't wired that way" BS. Who here isn't pro at their job and hasn't mailed in a day at work? I'm looking at Gionta especially (already has like 30 million dollars, and a cup), Moulson, Ennis, who else? Kids, try hard, makes sense, pad stats for contract.

It's crunch time, Murray needs to tell the players to stop trying or else. Seriously. "you are not being evaluated now, every GM in the league knows this, get on board".

Just checked, it does support USB OTG. Good tip, but yeah, clunky.

+1 for Moto X. Just got it Feb 1, and received lollipop update last week (att). Chose it for similar reasons to Met'yu. Previous was S3 on vzw (bloated pig). Was set on Nexus 6 until saw size (same as iPhone 6plus), too big for my liking. Only downside so far is no external drive, it's gonna file up, and cloud based media/image storing is nice for back-up and stuff but not ideal flipping through a photo album or jamming tunes in airplane mode.

TRADE: Sabres send Brian Flynn to Montreal for a 5th

Flynn! My man. -
http://www.amerks.com/newsX.asp?type=News&aID=1232 Pysyk in hospital in ROC after collapsing at the Arena this AM. Hopefully just stress or something minor.

What would you do, right now, as owner?

True so maybe next week "ok guys, let's just play out the season for the boss, you won't be evaluated here forward". Presumably they know where they stand in the org. Still, if they stand on the outside (who's gonna trade for Flynn? Benoit? Meszaros?), don't they want to keep selling-out? I suppose if only 2-3 guys hopefully they can't do too much damage. -

It's a really good question. What are they gonna do? Do they actually tell Gionta to throw games? Would he whisper it in the room? I use Gionta as example as the captain and a vet and one who is locked in here. As opposed to Flynn/Mitchell etc who are like "F this, every game is a contract day". -
Ask any player aged 19-23, "3 million bucks, and no playoffs, or $500k and a 15% chance at winning the cup" 100% of players take $3 million bucks. F what's best for the team. Take care of #1, you got 10 - 15 years to cash in. You are suggesting being OK with just chilling in the A despite having mad game? "better for the team man! they might win the cup!" No way. And I'm not saying anything is owed. F that noise. And I also understand it's not that simple. Still I think Pysyk might of missed out on some spending cash this year, and I think the tank is part of the reason. Then consider he's an RFA this year. Again, if he keeps the production up....where's PASabre? This is trial material! :P
-
Ok, yeah, he wasn't great in AHL this year but still he was ready, they said he was ready last year, then he gets injured and Zadorov has weird KHL stuff, and the Tank, and Pysyk (if it's 2 way?) is boned out of some serious money. Just saying, I'm a GMTM fan all day long, but if I'm a 1st or 2nd rounder I think I want to get drafted by an org that I'm likely to move up with quickly so I can get paid. The Detroit example, meh, I think that sucks for the player. Maybe you can make the case that they are more likely to succeed, etc. Maybe. Yeah, if I'm Pysyk I think I'm kinda pissed. And then compare that to boy wonder who can't get out of bed on time, or Mezaros who can't get the puck of the zone. +3 and a goal. Let's see if he keeps it up. I'm a big fan of his game.
-
Anyone know how his contract works? By keeping him down did he get ganked on NHL cash? Clearly he belongs, and if I'm him and I did get held back for the tank, I'm looking at GMTM for a $500k bonus or something.

Coffee spray'er. :w00t:

Thank you for triggering this one..... Now? Not yet!

Biega update :P , he led all Canucks in hits last night vs Rangers with 4. I was gonna say that's sad indictment of Kassian, but looks like he was a healthy scratch.
-
Awesome. Good job f.o. for making the connection, assuming that was part of decision.
-
Shout out to Ron R who opened the door for him. He is all over the ice with confidence. Looks like a big upgrade from Myers mentally. The one play in the 3rd where Gus disrupts PHI break-out and chips it up to.....47???
-
Alt programming - Kasdorf is on time warner sports in Roc right now, RPI v Yale. He's let in 3 already start of 2nd.
-
Yup. And 43 years old. Impressive run.
