I guess I didn't make the connection. I know that's the line of thinking they were presenting, but it didn't seem so black and white. Maybe I missed something

Good stuff. I'm on board with the County sucked, really bad, and all that. I'm struggling with whether he actually did it. Consider this county is relatively small, maybe like Wayne County here in Western NY (similar population, bordering a great lake, rural/agriculture). Community members know who the bad characters are. That's not to say something random couldn't have happened, or that a conviction is justified given the evidence. And obviously his rape conviction reversal is the counter to this line of thinking...but twice? Add to that that he asked the Autotrader office for Halbach specifically to come to the house (testimony left out of netflix), and blocked his # when calling her directly. SabresBillsfan brings up the point of IQ, and the documentary addressed that too (~70 for Avery per the one past lawyer), so yeah, is he smart enough to do it and destroy pretty much all the physical evidence? Nuts.

I'm with you both, just looking at all sides. Re: disinformation, this stuff is pre-rape conviction and all that. It's not like it was made up, he admitted to the cat and chasing down the cousin(?) in the car w/ gun. Dude has a history as a bad guy. $35M and huge embarrassment for the sheriff though, that's motivation, and more plausible then the crazy details Dassey provided.

Yeah bang for buck fitness/calorie burn wise running is tough to beat. But it takes a while to build the supporting muscles, cardio get there much more quickly, off you go, then knee injury or foot or whatever. One of my favorite things about the bike is the outdoor exploration. Riding new roads, seeing sites, covering distances. I go run for an hour and don't make it out of town. Last weekend on the bike my friend and I rode about 15 miles of Lake Ontario shore (Greece to Webster) on our loop, beautiful.

Yeah idk. Don't they say if you torture animals when young you are like X times as likely to be in prison / commit violent acts towards people? He was convicted of torching the cat before serving time for the rape I believe. Young & dumb I guess? Sorry, they said he used "*67" (or whatever) calls to the victim to block his identity when calling her 2 or 3 times on 10/31. http://thefederalist.com/2016/01/06/making-a-murderer-subject-steven-avery-is-guilty-as-hell/ "The young Avery didn’t unintentionally set fire to a cat, as “Making a Murderer” suggests, but poured gasoline on the animal and then threw it into a bonfire, according the Associated Press. And Avery didn’t only threaten a female cousin at gunpoint, an incident the documentary portrays as the unfortunate actions of an immature teen, but is also alleged to have raped a young girl and threatened to kill her family if they spoke out, according another story in Post Crescent (paywalled). If we’re to believe Dassey’s conversations with police, Avery had also molested his cousins. “I even told them about Steven touching me,” Dassey explains to his mother after one of the interviews with police."

How did you arrive at this? From the radio communications where he confirms the plate? Just curious cause to me it seemed that suggestion by Defense was pretty weak, he could have just been confirming with base "here's what we are looking for..right?". I keep going back and forth on his guilt. The x62 / towel creepy stuff, the history of violence. He was about to get paid, he was pumped, f-it, above the law. Party time! That type of thing. But man that case is weak and that sheriff office/da sucks so bad.

Old school cool rig right there. And thank you for staging it in the big ring.

Nice! Yeah bike matters. Should be less than 20 pounds for sure (most are 15-17). There's less formal but equally hard stuff on Saturdays starting in spring if you don't want to invest in a license and stuff.

D4ark forget upper body, get on bike and join us here: http://www.gvccracing.com/ Sounds like you have a body type advantage. Derrico - nice work! Swimming is great. And sounds like you have the calorie control down. It's not easy. Takes time to get the motor up and running strong, then burning higher/hotter every day, then month 2-3 stuff starts to come off more easily. I know there's exceptions, but it is all math. Calories in / calories out. Watch Survivor to see it in action. Myfittnesspal is a good tool. I like the higher frequency weighing like TrueBlue & Josie. Daily when I'm training. That way a super salty meal (water retained) or bad weekend (boozing and garbage plate, necessary to maintain sanity) don't discourage you. My weds/thurs numbers are my go to. Down about 3-4#s since Nov (bike, run, try not to over eat). Getting way harder as age goes up. Alcohol and chocolate are my killers. Mixing in more vodka and whiskey over IPA to get better mileage  .

Serial Season 1? Similar in format and depth of coverage and court case/murder, but very different theme to me. I think this one is about poor and uneducated being mistreated by the system. Adnan was arguably privileged class. Either way both excellent and time well spent. This one is depressing. Sadness for the vitcim and family of course. But the abuse of power, crystal clear motive to plant evidence, and weak case, how the ### they convict on that? And said to be 7 "not guilty" at first vote. Nuts. Not to mention the kid. I need to google for some balance at this point. Coincidentally I have jury duty in a few weeks, looking forward to it.

Just started the series the other day, completed episode 3 and very disturbed as well. Will revisit this thread when complete.

The other angle you can see his left leg is tangled up with D, but yeah, upon viewing again, he wasn't going to get there..... Do love this tournament.

Seemed like his own man took him out, otherwise he was headed that way. Amazing that Finland is like Colorado or Minnesota #s wise (5M), beating much larger countries. Russia (143M) / USA (318M) / Canada (35M).

Bad elbow by McNabb on Sedin. Nice response by Biega, though he's probably lucky the ref was mixed up in it. https://streamable.com/j1tx

Larsson took Eichel's shift 1/2 through 3rd immediately after a f-up. Seems like a message to me. (and no time during last 2 minutes w/ empty net). I like Larsson's game, a lot. But not at the expense of ice time for Eichel. Would move him to wing first. -

Same. And he had a 4 point game two days ago, but he gets bounced for that play? Does Gionta have 4 points this year? Ennis? Come on DDB! -

Yes. Short cut! So Larsson just took Eichel's spot (ES) instead of Ennis. Ok Dan! -

Pile on. Ennis and Gionta are killing this team. They have lost benefit of PP time at this point. I'd go Larsson, Girgensons, #44 and Foligno, and then Varone and C O'Reilly, in front of them. Hopefully GMTM steps in soon. -
Right. Awkward. What do they talk about on the drive home? "here's how you SLUMP, son." If Moulson ever comes out of it (which I see no signs off happening) it could be a great experience for Eichel. "perseverance" "pro grind" blah blah blah. If he doesn't.....[insert buffalo misery here].
-
:worthy: Put me in the anti-Byslma group. I guess it's the "veteran respect" play but that was some mess again w/ Ennis on point on PP1 and then in shoot-out. Least he seems to have come to his senses w/ Gionta and is dialing him back. Thanks for the odds chart Derrico.

Terry Pegula - Rally the Owners to change the challenge rule
bcsaberks replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Linesman was in position and he didn't call it. Naked eye is gonna miss some each way, and officials need discretion, that's part of the game. If he gets it wrong and blows the whistle, fine, play stops, fans go from a "maybe we score" to "oh darn". Instead we are going from full-on celebration of an important goal (moments that are limited to about 2-3 a game) to wait and see, to complete frustration. It's ruining fan experience (like NFL) and needs to be changed. -

Weird. It looks like the best lit rink in the league to me.
