  1. It was a joke. "Grip the ball" is a terrible standard for readiness.
  2. Well, you see, he can grip the ball, so ... all good. 😕
  3. And that was before he seemingly hurt his elbow on that strip-fumble. His four interceptions over the last two weeks were all oddly bad, and he missed throws that he normally makes frequently. This season could derail fast if he is hurt.
  4. Smart to rest 2022 Josh in the 2nd and bring in 2018 Josh. We'll need the 2022 version for the rest of the season.
  5. Great second half by the Lions. 🙄
  6. The 2nd half of that Steelers-Dolphins game was a lesson in futility. Just awful football. Steelers DBs with at least four dropped interceptions and there were more 3-and-outs than Jim at a whorehouse ...
  7. Didn't want to add the r? PeCKr 😁 Maybe "Peacock" (PeCoK) line?
  8. I don't know much about the World Games, but I thought the high-level flag football (insert joke about where NFL is going) was pretty entertaining. There was some serious skill on display (not surprising, given borderline NFL players.) The format, in spite of the contact penalties, allowed for a lot of dual-threat players to excel.
  9. Anyone see this (you have to watch on YouTube due to restrictions): Men's Flag Football Championship: Italy vs. USA | 2022 World Games Pretty cool. Fun to watch, despite it being a flag for intentionally hitting a defender. Even features a former Bills (practice squad) player, Dez Lewis. ETA: Women's Championship Game
  10. Anyone else hear "Levi Wallace is in concussion protocol" and think "damn, we lost another DB." 🤪
  11. Yeah ... but on that second one, he had 0. 🤪
  12. Well, it does qualify that with:
  13. Kinda crazy, though: He has 13 games to score 13 touchdowns (passing or rushing) to pass Mahomes, 14 to pass Newton and 25 to pass Marino. He has averaged ~ 2 2/3 TDs (99 TDs in 27 GP) over the last 2 1/4 seasons, which works out to ~34 more TD's. Lot of things (we don't talk about Bruno, no, no) can happen in a season, but it's definitely attainable.
  14. Every generation has its "best" debate. For a long time, we had Brady vs. Manning. Rarely can they be objectively stated with certainty. This generation is no different. I can't watch Mahomes play and think that we can objectively say Josh is "the best" with certainty. He is definitely in that discussion, though, and likely will be for the rest of his career. That's all that matters to me. He's our quarterback and he's awesome (most of the time.)
  15. Wait, the Bills won a "close" game? 😲 🤪
  16. Ok, so our D did something (even if there probably should have been a call there.) Now, it's the O's turn.
  17. Tribute to young superfan Mo Gaba.
  18. Neither side of the ball is playing like the Bills. A team crap sandwich.
  19. I was going to have to watch the game on delay, but it was spoiled by a loud-mouth Dolphins fan. Not knowing how the game went, I couldn't say anything. From the way he was spouting off, I would have thought we got crushed 41-19, not that we made mistakes and suffered heat stoke, dropping a very winnable game 21-19.
  20. If they finish under, then we've all lost our emotional bet.
  21. May have been a costly win for the Steelers, as TJ Watt likely suffered a season-ending pec tear.
  22. That's not very realistic ... Cooper Kupp would have guaranteed them at least 3. 🤪
  23. I'm sure he saw the list of guys that the Bills had brought in and that they were "keeping their options open," and figured that he could go play for them. As one person on FB wrote, "did we just back into a punter upgrade?"
  24. Even as the favorite, they're only given a 14% chance of winning it all. It's like (actual worse than) the chance of the worst team in the NHL winning the draft lottery. If they don't win it all, it won't (necessarily) mean that they "eff'd it up." Last year, in the final 13 second, you could say that they did "eff up" their chance to at least be in the AFC Championship game, because they had it and made bad choices. However, losing to one of the other top teams (Tampa Bay, Green Bay, KC, LAR, LAC, etc) wouldn't necessarily mean they messed up. Overall, they're believed to have a slightly better chance than any one team, but when you have to play at least two of those (plus, one or two a little below them), things are far from guaranteed. Be excited that they've built a team that's top-tier, giving them a real chance every year, and hope that they do what the Bills couldn't do the last time that happened.
  25. Not many choices in there with experience, and Colquitt may have too much experience (40 years old.) Long and Berry seem to be the most qualified. Of course, there aren't stats for holding ...
