Honestly, it might be months until this happens. I have no way of predicting it. I just know we were finally officially warned. I figured I might as well just rip the Band-Aid off now.

Update 11/13/24: I have changed the settings so that you can login with your display name as you are now or with your email address. I just tried this myself and it works just fine. I did not have to do anything other than change my login name to my email address on file. No emails were required to be sent to my email address. Bottom line is that you can start using this now and it should transfer over seamlessly whenever the new software is released and installed here. ***************

This isn't my choice. The functionality has been removed. I do not know the full consequences of this. To avoid being locked out, please make sure you know your password and you have a working email address, in case of problems needing a reset. It is possible/probable that if you know your password, you just need to change the login name upon logging back in. We should assume the upgrade WILL log every out. I do not know when this release and upgrade will take place, but they are preparing and issuing advice. Thanks.

So, I looked into where Claude Balls went. We have a mutual acquaintance. I googled his name and it appeared he suddenly died at the age of 56 on July 31st in Rochester. He leaves behind three daughters, 1 sister and 2 brothers. There was no mention of his daughter's mother. I thought I would let you all know.

FYI, since our community is much smaller and consists of a core group of longtime posters, it is small enough now where I can handle being the single point of conflict resolution moving forward. With that said, my base assumption is that if nobody complains via the report function, then conversations will be left alone, except for egregious things I see in real time. nfreeman and chz are still going to give a hand with the daily grind of GDT, pinning, unpinning and opening/closing topics where need be, which has been the vast majority of activity needed the last couple years anyway. To reiterate, if content needs attention, then please use the report function. Thanks!

Let’s be fair about this analysis, while my team is low scoring I have had 290 MORE points scored against me than the team with the easiest schedule so far. That’s 50 more points a game scored against me than the luckiest team who has had the fewest points scored against them. 🤦‍♂️ ***50***
