  1. After a career long failure across multiple organizations and having many, many, many coaches who abandoned the thought completely: “I had a hunch”.
  2. I didn’t see your edit until I responded. It makes way more sense now because I knew there was no way you were old enough to watch those original movies. 😂
  3. So I’m old enough to have seen some of those in the theaters. For some reason my older siblings were obsessed with those movies. I was too young to follow along. Talking apes were cool though.
  4. Explain that to me like I’m five. I’m too preoccupied with people who watch every Sabres hockey game and then call for Jeff Skinner on a shoot out.
  5. I guess I need to throw you in the above reply
  6. Jeff Skinner has had one shoot out attempt with Buffalo and one with Carolina in seven years. He missed both. Prior to 2016 he was 6 for 34. he is awful at them. No coach put him out there because he is awful at them. Why would any fan want a guy who missed two shootouts in seven years put him on the ice? i’m gonna go ahead and say the monkey would’ve known not to put Jeff Skinner in the shootout, but I’m a Darwin guy.

  9. Waste of a roster spot and doesn’t deserve to dress goes beyond 1st impressions. When someone says a player is a waste of a roster spot, isn’t the implication that they shouldn’t be on the team? If that’s the case, I’m just wondering who else shouldn’t be on this team given how they played in other circumstances.
  10. [This is an automated response] The topic title is potentially misleading. Accurate titles help the community find topics relevant to their interests and avoids reader frustration. Please change the topic title to more accurately reflect content of the original post. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate. Thank you.
  11. That’s a good point. You have waited two weeks.
  12. Well, if you just make any cursory observation in any sport you’ll see that this is a silly argument. Who are the players that get drafted first? Who are the players that make the biggest salaries? Why does a player play on the second line and not the first line? Because he doesn’t have enough skill. Why is a player in the bottom six and not the top six? Because they don’t have enough skill. Why are those bottom six players paid at 33% of the people above them? Because what the people do above them is much harder than what they do. It’s unequivocal that scoring points in sports is much harder than preventing points being scored. That’s my last comment on the subject.
  13. And during the Ralph Kruger years, what was your impression of Thompson? Middlestat? Dahlin?Skinner? What was Alex Tuch like in Vegas compared to what he is now? Jost?
  14. So in your view, how many games does it take to turn a 21 year old player into a 28 year old veteran? 30? 40?
  15. It’s very important for someone to lack the information they need before they dole out internet punishment.
  16. Do you mean when a mistake was made and you were let back in and all warning points were removed?
  17. Feel free to provide any sort of reason as to why stopping somebody from doing something is harder than having to do it yourself.
  18. That’s because the hardest thing in sports, pretty much in all sports (except maybe basketball) is scoring. Stopping people from scoring is trivial in comparison.
  19. I’m fairly confident the team’s deficiency in this area has been noted.
  20. It’s a natural reaction, but it’s dumb as *****.
  21. I have serious doubts.
  22. What I don’t understand is how a 20 or 21 year old becomes a 27 year old seasoned NHL veteran in 52 games?
  23. It’s an awful comparison that frames everything as a negative, while conveniently leaving out positive differentiators.
