Father in Law passed away Sunday. Funeral yesterday. I've helped carry more caskets than I ever wanted...
-
He's 4th on the Canucks with 13 hits. That is also good for 4th on the Sabres.
-
Expecting him to try is not. It wouldn't have mattered if he tried to cut in and got stoned - at least he would have tried. Flipping the puck at the goalie is pathetic. Try something. Try anything. Just don't try nothing.
-
I just wanted to point out the pathetic effort Hecht gave in the final minutes of the Carolina game. Barreling down the left wing on a PK and what does he do? He lets loose a high school level wrister/snap shot that makes you wonder how the hell he has been in the NHL all these years. That what he has to bring when his team is down by 1 goal and the puck is on his stick?
-
I want to know who we have that is considered fast by NHL standards?

if she is getting checked by a girl then it is apples to apples. If it is always a guy then that is a new ballgame.
-
I think it is diff if you are a girl and it happens every time. Kinda like driving while black. It ain't right.

Kassian is playing with them due to injury.

Stopping pretty girls so you can put your face 18" from their pretty parts, while you virtually caress them, and with a license to stare is creepy.

I didn't say your point was wrong, I said that particular bit of evidence is weak. I don't follow Pyatt, but his numbers look the same to me through out his career taking into account increasing maturity and the teams he played on. Torres/Berneir lasted here as long as a fart in a hurricane. They have played their entire lives, 3 months with Ruff isn't going to mean anything. I would like to change the coach and GM simply because I don't find either of them entertaining anymore. I don't need any other reasons. It's the same stories about the same major players year after year. It's old and stale and has not been working. I don't need to grasp at Torres/Bernier to reach that conclusion.
-
that list really stretches credulity. Pyatt has the same numbers today as he did with the Sabres. An injured Torres was here for 18 games. Bernier played in 17. Kassian has had a nice 4 game stretch so far this season. Even if your point is true, this bit of evidence is weak sauce.

Let's make sure the logic fits here... If Kassian was not physical enough because that is what the system dictated, then the Sabres would know this internally. That would rule out the reason that the Sabres traded him for being a concept and not a reality. Therefore, we would have top accept that he was traded because he had value and the Sabres needed centers. If internally the Sabres wanted more realization of the concept, then that is on Kassian. Maybe he wanted to be a different player than what the concept called for? Maybe the trade and last year's result opened his eyes to his one true path to NHL success - making the concept a reality.

She's being held up in security...

I can see you feeling pissed for getting singled out for something like this. Dollars to donuts these guys are just making a beeline to every pretty, young blonde they see. It's certainly different than buying a beer, since he is supposed to be doing a job, not getting off. Maybe a drop a line on him like, "So, this is what you have to do to get within arm's reach of a girl?"

Way to take the outside Myers. You friggin' PeeWee.

That's called a 68.

All About In-Game Experience at First Niagara Center
SDS replied to That Aud Smell's topic in Archive
I'm a little shocked that no one has brought up that we have the same "stars" year after year. Ruff, Vanek, Pominville, Stafford... sure the core is getting smaller these days, but the headliners are still the same. -
:censored: I must have been thinking of Irvin the year before. I stand corrected - thank you.

Tom Landry drafted Troy Aikman.

I normally don't complain too much about announcers, etc... but I often wonder about the value Mike brings to the table. For a "guy who played the game", his analysis just flows as one long-winded, cliche-filled "fan speak" session. Does anyone extract any value from his contributions?

More times than not, I would say the opposite is true. I defer to the professionals when they put forth their recommendations on how to do things. I'm not going to wire my house differently because I think I have a better way than the millions of man years of experience possessed by qualified electricians. Someone always defines "correct", I see no reason why it shouldn't be the professional typographers.
