I don't go to a lot of games (obviously not the Sabres, but the Caps neither). I couldn't define a hockey atmosphere other than the game being played. I think much would be tied to memories from our youth, but those are memories of what we think it should like. Our kids don't have the same memories or preferences. I hear the same complaints here in MD/DC. I just don't know what they should do differently. Everyone complains about stadium/arena music. Not sure what anyone really wants to hear...

What's a "hockey atmosphere" and does it mean the same to you as everyone else?

So, 2 days after it started... maybe 3 - I finally got a real solution to the multiple DoS attacks being sent our way. It was so bad the server would only stay up for minutes after a reboot. I couldn't login. Had to have host do everything. The amount of stress this has caused is... ugh. Especially on the day a new Bills HC is announced. I needed this solution yesterday or the announcement tomorrow.

Seriously. It's pretty messed up. Had thousands of requests hammering the front page. FWIW, not that it would help this, but we are getting a new server. I'm setting it up now. If I can configure it right - it should be a screamer.

Well, the Sabres need to hire my wife for something, because she went to her first Sabres home game last night and she was treating to a highlight goal and a regulation win. What are the chances of that happening? Talk about threading the needle... She must carry some vast reservoir of good luck.

I never understood fan reaction to this because he was a 4th line guy with limited minutes. It's the top 6 that was miscast. It's like getting food poisoning at a restaurant and being pissed at the interior decorator.
