I'm not even sure how you are posting this because I tried to ban this account, since you are doing an end around your other account which had it's posting privileges removed for 30 days. attaching "culture" to the issue is polarizing and quite frankly, I find using the word a disservice because it probably creates more backlash than it should be. I don't live in a rape culture. Others might. I just read a list of 25 examples of our "rape culture" and I pretty much have no experience/exposure to any of them. I presume nfreeman lives a similar existence. What I do know is that asking people to stop talking is the opposite of what should happen. When is the last time anyone changed their mind in the absence of evidence and debate? How is someone going to move from "She shouldn't dress that way" to "It's my responsibility" unless their opinions are voiced and then challenged? And that's the real danger that has been attempted to be foisted upon us by a gaggle do-gooders. They are too enamored with their own goodness and self-righteousness to actually see they are unwittingly a part of the problem - not the solution they claim to be.

He was specifically addressing people who are more concerned with the implications to Patrick Kane's career than the female involved. They self-identify and are the same people who came out here in support for Ray Rice here in Baltimore. However, none of those people are in this thread from what I have seen.

It's not your view, it is a fact. When 5x the cases end with no determination as are cases proven false - the error bars swamp the data. Probably the best you can do is apportion the cases that are undetermined into the solved case bins at their respective rates. Even then, that's making a leap of faith.

You are way over the top with this and you are not as smart as you think you are in this discussion. Everyone here is having a reasonable discussion (except for JJ who is nucking futs and who I can't distance myself far enough from). You should find your desire to psychoanalyze message board posters to be highly ironic given your many protestations. Why do you desire to find scenarios where community members hate women? Why? Is it fun? Is it a challenge? Like doing a crossword? You are correct, there is no need to to run through scenarios in this situation. But there is no need to run through roster building scenarios either. There is no need to run through forming lines or when to rest goalies or really anything else we discuss here. We do a lot of things in life that aren't needed. Community members are just talking and unless I missed it, I haven't seen anyone specifically doubt the accuser here. However, I am reading a lot of generic discussion of a complex issue. People are talking respectfully here. That's all anyone can ask for. And FWIW, my wife thinks the attempted shout down/shaming or whatever it is a few of you are trying to accomplish here is ridiculous.
