Ahh, thought you meant you thought Norris' high high end bursts would go down (as a percentage of his total time skating) and he'd end up in a percentage there closer to where McLeod ended up; not (as you actually did mean) that Norris' 20mph metrics would move up significantly. Thanks for the clarification.

The first four games of this Leafs/Sens series were pretty good but neither team looks like they want it tonight.

Yes the numbers do not come down by playing more games. They only go up. With 23 more games Norris would most likely added enough 20 -22 mph and 18 -20 mph speed bursts to pass or get close to McLoud's numbers in those categories.

His top speed would NOT come down with more opportunities to reach it. If anything, he might've gone up to the 99th percentile for that. Not sure that the percentage of time that Norris was flying would necessarily come down too much. His sample size was 56. It's not like it was 5 or 6.

Half the WGR staff are Buff State kids. WGR's issue is it's half college interns and the other half are guys who have been in their jobs forever and basically mail it in every day.

He just sat there, waiting to go on the air, hearing the two clowns on the morning show proclaim "he didn't value wide receivers." Any man with his track record being disrespected by those two choads would lose it. ...which he only said after Beane got off the air. 😭 While Beane was on he was pretty submissive.

14 years missing the playoffs, historical ineptitude, lost a whole generation of young hockey fans, and it would be shocking if they actually made a substantial change.

Keep in mind the numbers are not normalized for games played or ice time. McLoud played 79 games and Norris played 56. If you added 23 games to Norris totals they would be pretty similar numbers.

Before they hired Rolston I was thinking they’d get Cooper out of Syracuse but quite sure TB promised him the HC job if he stayed. Since then Tocchet has been the coach I’ve always felt could turn this team around.
