  1. Past hour
  2. If he does not play in the top 9 it is a stupid move. Having Rosen on 4th line is stupid also.
  3. Too soon for sure….but I do believe this kid is the only legit center prospect we have. He’s not a winger pretending or being forced to play center, but an actual playmaker IMHO.
  4. DOGE is a place filled with idiots too stupid to understand how things actually work.
  5. Watch Lindy put him in Kulich's spot at 1C.
  6. I know some of the songs were part of Lifehouse but never really looked into it much. Now that I see that most of Who's Next was part of the Lifehouse project, I'll listen a little more closely. With the outline at the link you posted I can see how they tie together, but also see how removing the "connecting tissue" of the original concept would put each song on its own island.
  7. I can tell from here the guy looks like s***
  8. Leone (to Duff and Marty) is of the opinion Östlund has a skill set that allows him to slot in on any style of line. Called him a bit of a unicorn that way. He has the energy, fearlessness and defensive acumen to play effectively with Lafferty and Malenstyn.
  9. Today
  10. I don’t like it. The Amerks have 2 games this weekend as they’re trying to catch Laval for 1st place and need their top players. The Sabres aren’t going anywhere and could have either moved Tage to center and pushed Krebs down to the 4th line, or call up Dunne again. Let the kids cook in Rochester.
  11. That's an insult to idiots. I'm more convinced than ever that he's a Russian operative intent on weakening the USA's strength and influence around the world. Nothing else explains the chaos on multiple fronts he's unleashed. Nothing. Cue the maga outrage at my suggestion. As if they have any other explanation.
  12. I think they do the cap year to year. You can project a lot of it out with escalating TV contracts, but there's other pieces of revenue that is shared between all teams. There's also a certain revenue share - well say 50/50 to be easy. The cap is a reflection of that 50/50 revenue share, so 100M cap would in that scenario be 320M of shared league revenue with the players. You then factor in... NHLPA pensions, benefits, NHLPA employees etc. and that's all probably factored in as well on a year to year basis as per the current CBA.
  13. To be clear, this isn’t really a “look” or a “reward”. This is more a “our 2C and our 6C are hurt and our best centre is playing wing to support the look we’re already giving our best centre prospect, who’s next man up?”
  14. I was going to mention that. I’d love to know who that was.
  15. I see him more of a luxury or lotto pick at this point. I could see him getting picked in the later half of 1st round by a perennial playoff team. Or maybe 2nd round.
  16. First, is the jump in the cap for the next couple of years that already including these numbers? Maybe not totally, but is some of the increase in revenue already 'baked in?" Beyond that, the old deal averaged $375m per year. This new deal averages $916m per year. That is an increase of $541m per year. Divide that among 32 teams and you get $16.9m per year. Now about half of that goes to the cap, half goes to the owners, so the 1/2 of that going to the cap is $8.45m per year. That isn't $8.45 one year, and then another $8.45m the next...that is $8.45m per year on AVERAGE over the next 12 years. So I'm pretty sure they will 'pro-rate' the increase. I think the cap goes up because of this, but I don't think we are going to see massive, year-over-year increases.
  17. I approve. He has earned this. It should be a message sent to all players. You do well, you get rewarded.
  18. So I dont want to over think this... and I get everyones point... but for where I am at and what I would like to see... Nothing wrong with rewarding a player in the AHL with some showtime... nice little 3 or 4 game stint rotate him thru 4th line, Power Play 2nd line etc... to give him some insight on what he needs to do to develop and build an offseason plan for him.... I do not want him to finish the season here, I think its too early and he is better with a playoff run in the AHL... with respect to feelings of players on the team... I get it... but if you are scoring less than 10-15 goals a season on a team that has been last in the conference and hasnt made the playoffs in 14 years and are upset by this... get a thicker skin or play better.... But yes give the kid a couple games of experience in multiple situations and grow him for next year... that I am fine with.
  19. Pay your dues, boy the refs will also be lookin to teach him a lesson As they should “It’s worse. He’s overly critical, he never listens, he... he doesn’t understand! It’s not fair!”
  20. BTW, I think Östlund can play that 4th line role just fine but why even make him?
  21. The question here is of style, that’s the framing: “sniping” is the style by which they achieve the high goal scoring for (and apparently at least some of the high goals against) rates
  22. I’m glad he’s getting a look but between 4th line plugs? I haven’t been too critical of Lindy as I felt most of this season’s issues were on the players / crappy asst coaches but this is just inexcusable.
  23. Lindy Ruff needs to go.
  24. Like rewarding the kid but putting him with Laff and Malenstyn is pointless.
