But then there’s his BU boy Chris Drury calling the shots for the rags (for now?). That feels like the fit for me. Apparently he wanted him a few years back but he wasn’t available. On a side note, I’m not sure how I feel about coaching family. I worry about the conflict of interest there… especially if it’s the typical in-law relationship😁

GDT: Rd.2 AHL best-of-5 playoffs: Amerks (2&0) @ Crunch, Gm3 5/1 7pm

I thought I was pretty clear on the Rochester-Syracuse part. There’s no travel concern there. Hell, the Amerks did just that from 3/21-3/23 this year during the season. I’d love to see it happen at some point when two close teams match up. -

Oh snap! And he bounced his chin off the ice. Hope the kid is OK. -
I wonder if the lure of being a Massachusetts Native who played for BU gives the Bruins an advantage. Plus his daughter and grandson live in Boston, and oh he would be able to coach his son in law Charlie McAvoy

Won't happen, but Sullivan being brought in as the HC would add IMHO a lot of hope to the fan base. Couple that with Karmanos becoming the GM and maybe we're onto something. As it seems Pegula absolutely won't fire Adams, bump him to PoHO (making it a primarily ceremonial role whose real duties are attending league meetings and running interference for Karmanos) and make Ruff a Senior Advisor using his connections when Karmanos' already extensive connections aren't enough to get a deal done. 'Tis still the season of hope. (At least for another handful of days.)

I was like “wow Komarov is actually hanging in there against a monster”D then that happened. Overall, Amerks havent backed down an inch in the physical game despite the Crunch being very aware they need to play that way. -
The irony is he think he built a great defense. Inherited Dahlin. Drafted Power and paid him after one year. Paid Muel after 54 NHL games. Traded for Byram, then admitted he did not know were he fit. For his next trick Ryan Johnson will make the team next season and full all those Jokiharju minutes.

Ruff and Adams end-of-season press conference: Saturday, April 19, 4:30pm

what is the disaster? That he will be good someday on another? That has happened so many times over the past 15 years that it is irrelevant. -
I think the no good defensemen except Dahlin is what makes Adams an idiot. Muel is mediocre. Power has not gotten better under Wilford. Byram is, okayish. Docker looks serviceable. Clifton, no. Bryson, stop. Dude has no idea how to build a defense or being in someone to coach his up.

Yes, he sure did. Yup. It looked like the Habs were doing to tie the series for awhile too. They are just as young as the Sabres are. OV with a real big hit (took a penalty), then Wilson out there blasting people. Not sure the Sabres could hold up to this as well. Adams is such a fool. No blockers, what an idiot.

At least there's a chance since he was with Pittsburgh. But yeah... keep the coach who is under a lame duck contract and the assistant who is already slated to be the next head coach.
-
Hmm... New York. Buffalo should grab him but... lolz.
-
Mike Sullivan and the Penguins have agreed to part ways. Boston or New York?
-
After the long draft weekend, he probably needs to go to bed and sleep for about 15 hours.

I thought Jeremy did pretty good. He let Beane go and then defended himself and then let Beane respond some more. I don't think I've ever heard Beane sound dickish like that before.
-
Jeremy's response: "As the kids would say, he chose violence today," and then, "we're not playing fantasy football - we're smarter than that - and we're not here to be belittled."
-
It's why I need Power to learn how to throw a basic body check. He doesn't need to be a heavy checker; he needs to learn how to give and take the extreme contact that is the first round of the playoffs, especially since he's viewed as an offensive/transition threat and will be playing top-4 minutes (which get heavy in the playoffs because you can't have Bryson out there). So, again, where is his veteran partner to give him the comfort to go to try stepping up on someone on occasion?

Give me all the *****, that work and don't stop. With a motor, and who do whatever they need to on the ice. -
I just happened to be in the car for that... interview. Beane seemed to come in with an ax to grind.
-
Brandon Beane is a little upset about his perception of the morning show's (and other show's) reaction to the draft. Paraphrasing: "It feels a little like 2018, where everyone was upset that they took Josh Allen instead of Josh Rosen, with how you're reacting to not taking a WR earlier. You just watched us put 30+ points for 8 straight games and lead the league in points scored. I just don't understand the reaction."

It was your humming "Linus and Lucy" the rest of the day that did you in. 😉
