Embarrassing take. Also embarrassing.

Keep in mind the numbers are not normalized for games played or ice time. McLoud played 79 games and Norris played 56. If you added 23 games to Norris totals they would be pretty similar numbers.

lol - it is absolutely true. and i’m dead serious when i say that i don’t like whatever thought process, personality evolution, own fart sniffing that led to him coming in so hot with the *WGR* guys. (the ***** WGR guys, people.) and i don’t much like what it may portend. i hope he has someone he trusts who can say that sort of thing to him. he desperately wanted darnold. it was pegula who said allen’s our guy.

I.e., he intimidates precisely zero players on the ice.

Around the NHL: 2024-2025 Season
FrenchConnection44 replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
Watching the Panthers play the Lightning is a great example of why the Sabres need a lot more grit and toughness. That they just don’t have dudes like that. They need really three or four guys who play with an edge and can be intimidating. A guy like Tkachuk. -
Agreed. Just being facetious

Plus, there's still FA's available that would be at least as good as a 3rd or 4th round receiver would be this season and people still seem to be high on Tyrell Shavers who could very well see some legit action this year. But, yeah, would like to see the WR room improved before September hits.

Brandon was a lot more relaxed today. My take on the WGR convo is that everyone was correct in the conversation. Beane is correct that the Bills have a unicorn QB who drives the offense to 30 pt games, the D needed improvement, and there’s only one ball. Only so much cap dollars to go around and Josh throws people open anyway. If the radio guys were insinuating that Beane doesn’t value the position, that is wrong to me. They traded a first for Diggs and paid him, they used their top pick on WR last year, traded for Cooper, traded for Kelvin Benjamin once upon a time. But at the same time, the radio guys are correct that the Bills WR room is weaker than most. With that said, I think the Bills have enough at the position given the 2025 draft was weak at the position.

Interesting the McLeod and Norris #'s. Norris' top top end is at the very top of the league and he gets to that top end more than most anybody but he isn't going pretty fast all that often compared to everybody else. McLeod's top speed isn't as fast, but he goes pretty fast relatively all the time.

Enjoy it. These shows will never get old for me.

When I decide to turn on the station, I tend to get there right around 10am. I pretty much never catch the morning show, so I can't really speak to them. Most of the rest is either state run radio or amateur hour. Unfortunately, if you want to hear Buffalo stuff, you really don't have many options. As for the bolded? That's probably my favorite comment of the day.

Yup. He's only 1 month older than 2025 prospect victor Eklund for comparison. Luke was 6 days shy of being 2025 eligible.

How the Sabres finished up on NHL edge. B50 means below 50 % a number is compared to the rest of the league. Other than top speed the comparison is how many times a player skated that fast in MPH. This is a percentile comparison so Byram is in the 91st percentile in terms of the number of times he skated faster than 22 MPH. Top Speed 22+ 20-22 18-20 Benson b50 b50 b50 63 Docker b50 b50 b50 b50 Bryson b50 b50 59 52 Byram 78 91 91 93 Clifton 65 62 61 61 Dahlin 56 B50 70 89 Greenway B50 B50 B50 B50 Kozak 66 64 B50 B50 Krebs 67 64 80 92 Kulich B50 71 83 82 Lafferty 78 88 64 B50 Malenstyn 76 76 77 58 McLeod 82 87 96 99 Norris 98 94 90 78 Peterka 56 71 87 87 Power B50 B50 80 92 Quinn B50 B50 53 62 Sammy 81 88 61 65 Thompson 76 64 79 93 Tuch 65 64 85 78 Zucker 56 51 B50 B50

Thompson to play for Team USA at the World Hockey Championships

he was not snubbed. Those games were always going to be remarkably close games with mistakes needing to be avoided at all costs. Thompson and Tuch are to mistake prone right now. Cannot be trusted especially in own zone. -
That's the real young kid who can skate, right? Remember thinking he had sleeper potential. Nice to see the progress.

I somewhat like the morning show. As I mentioned previously, it is annoying when Jeremy White gets stuck on his opinion. I have always enjoyed talk shows where the hosts facilitated conversation. Where they would take calls on all different points of view and respond to them. Not when they have their opinion and they argue with callers who disagree with them. So why do I not think it is low quality radio? First, most talk shows about sports seem to be more and more like that. But the morning guys I can deal with, I find the show entertaining and somewhat informative. It is 'middle ground' for what sports talk should be. The 1 hour of hockey talk, I do not listen to it that much but I enjoy that also most of the time. The 10-12 show, not perfect, but I can get something out of it also. The afternoon show, Shopp and Bulldog, that is the only show that I can no longer tolerate. When you say low quality radio, to me that comment does not do justice to just how bad the afternoon show can be. But overall, WGR is decent-to-good for me for general listening.

At the bottom of the data set it shows that Brandan Wadlow used the NHL edge information to generate that report. It will not be in that format on NHL edge. NHL edge does not like to embarrass anyone so if you are below 50% compared to the rest of the NHL they just state that as a comparison. The numbers are there but the comparisons are not for the lower half of the league.

The Trump Tariffs: Economic War

Here's the audio clip from the pink propaganda-ist Calling how a company displays pricing a "hostile act" is a special level of authoritarianism.
