‘“Realistically, it’s not something I’ve put any thought into,” Appert told The Buffalo News. “I love my job. I’m really proud to be part of the Buffalo Sabres organization. I’m proud of what we’ve built here and how we’ve done it. The culture we’ve created here I think is pretty unique and special, and I don’t think I’ve ever been in a hurry to leave a job. That’s not my track record. I stayed at Denver for a decade. I stayed at RPI for a decade. I probably would have stayed at (the USA Hockey National Team Development Program) for a lot longer if Kevyn didn’t call because I take a lot of pride in creating something special and then watching your young players thrive in it.”‘
