‘“Nice trade!” Rob Ray, veteran tough guy and member of the Reds said to me as if I had any say in the switch. Since Ray was drafted in 1988 we had an ongoing battle over his hometown. Rob, a native of Stirling, bristled when I reminded him he might as well say he’s from Peterborough because no one knows where Stirling is. Knowing his tough-guy reputation I always said it with a smile though.’
