‘“That’s sort of the big unknown, that is, the actual toll that our competition for the game and practice is taking on the players,” Higham says. “There are some challenges with that; skating is very different from running, mechanically and metabolically. But a real big piece for us was using technology to quantify what the players were actually experiencing so we could make informed decisions about how to respond.”’
