‘Shack’s career included parts of the first two seasons of the Buffalo Sabres’ existence. In 111 games for Buffalo after he was acquired by coach/general manager Punch Imlach from the Los Angeles Kings for forward Dick Duff and defenseman Mike McMahon Jr., he had 26 goals and 31 assists. His 25 goals in 1970-71 were second on the team to rookie center Gilbert Perreault’s 38.’
