‘Evander Kane is on the final year of a 6 year $31.5 million deal. His cap hit is $5.25 million per year. Coming off a 28 goal season and going into a contract year Kane will defiantly be motivated. You’d have to think Kane will want a pay raise. How willing will Jason Botterill be to do that? Botterill has already talked about valuing character over talent in instances. Whether it’s true or not Kane carries a reputation around with him, and it doesn’t fit that mold.’
