‘I think Nelson will start the year in Rochester and play a handful of games with the Sabres if someone gets injured. There’s a reason multiple teams wanted to sign Nelson after his junior year at Minnesota State Mankato – he’s got tons of potential. However, I still think Brendan Guhle has a better shot at making the opening night roster than Nelson. Injuries on the blue line could change everything, but for Nelson I think a regular spot in the NHL is a few years away.’
