‘Coaches do have a big say in how players analytics come out. Bylsma said, “Corsi and some of the shot based analytics, you have to be a little careful about how you read them and where you read them. There are players in the league that have a high Corsi that are protected players, like where they start and who they play against lead into the number that they have. The quality of competition they go against plays into that as well, so you can pickoff a Corsi number and say that player’s got a positive Corsi number and he should play more and the deeper numbers lay in where they start, who they play against, who they’re playing with.”’
