‘It seemed like a better, simpler effort was put in by the Sabres tonight. We heard plenty of talk from the locker room about playing a “simpler” game to be more successful. The shots on goal total is still not there, I do not think this is exactly the best game to hang you hat on, but it may be a place for the team to start from. I do like what I am hearing out of the room, as Paul Hamilton pointed out after last game. Josh Gorges getting mad is something that has been lacking for a few years, and now other players are following his lead. At the end of the night, however, Buffalo did not take advantage of the fact that half of the Bruins regular defense corps was out. There are still plenty of signs that this team still is not very good.’
