‘Foligno had a four month rehab after the surgery and he still did everything in the gym during training camp. In order for the big winger to be effective, he must be able to hit and be gritty along the wall. Foligno said, “It was an eye opener with the way I play, my shoulders do the wear and tear over the course of my career and I’ve learned the hard way, so it’s something you’ve got to take care of. Foligno added, “It’s tough, it’s so much part of my game and when it gets taken away from you, it’s noticeable. If I’m not hitting or finishing checks, it’s noticeable to the coaching staff, so I’m looking forward to getting out there and being physical again.”’
