What are the Sabres options with Leino?

Source: WGR-AM

‘It might be better to use a regular buyout instead of the compliance. According to Cap Geek, a regular buyout would cost the Sabres $1,722,222 against the cap this season, $2,222,222 for the two seasons after that and $1,222,222 for the three remaining seasons. Leino would pocket $7,333,332 to leave. That’s in addition to the $16 million he made for the three seasons he played.’
