‘Nolan has always been concerned about the fundamentals of the game. Probably a lot more than the other coaches I’ve seen here. Nolan said, “If you look at golfers, they go to driving ranges, baseball players go to batting cages, basketball players go to free throw lines, we in hockey don’t do the most fundamental things that we should be able to do on natural instinct like being able to pass the puck, so every once in a while you’ve got to go back to school and just do the basic stuff.”’
