‘Buffalo Sabres general manager Darcy Regier today announced the team has assigned the following players to the Rochester Americans (AHL): Daniel Catenacci, Jerome Gauthier-Leduc, Tim Schaller and Phil Varone. Jamie Tardif, pending waivers, will also be assigned to Rochester. Additionally, forward Colton Gillies has been released from his professional try-out (PTO) contract.’
