‘The Sabres put Pominville on waivers in 2005 to send him back to Rochester. He had already played three seasons down there and it wasn’t looking good for a NHL career. Pominville didn’t pout and scored 19 goals in 18 games and came back to Buffalo for good, “I have come pretty far. It hasn’t been easy, I had to battle to get to where I am, but I think it was worth the bus rides in the minors and the long trips and to finally make it and be in the NHL and now to be able to participate in an event like that will be a pretty unique opportunity.”’
