‘Pominville admits it was a long process, “I was in a cast for 2.5 weeks, then in a walking boot for four weeks, but I couldn’t walk on it. I could take it off to sleep or take a shower. Then once that came off I was able to walk with crutches a little bit. I would say at the middle or end of June I was able to put the skates for the first time and just do something really light, nothing crazy, then I took a week off. The first time it didn’t really feel that good, but as it went along after a week off it felt so much better and then it started progressing really, really quick and I was able to get back to what I usually do.”‘
