Ducks sign Buffalo D Lydman to 3-year deal

Lydman was a free agent after spending the past five seasons with the Buffalo Sabres. The Ducks desperately needed a top-line defenseman after losing captain Scott Niedermayer, Chris Pronger and Francois Beauchemin over the past two summers. Niedermayer retired last month.’
