‘We lost a real good player and competitor in Spacek. We didn’t think Montador would fill the same role as Spacek, but he is a grittier No. 5 or No. 6 defenseman who could add something to our game. But the replacement Spacek on the offensive side and in terms of minutes has been (rookie) Tyler Myers. Sometimes you get lucky. We thought we had a player in Myers, but we weren’t sure.’
