Buffalo 4, Ottawa 2

Source: The Sports Network

‘The visitors had several quality scoring chances in the third period. Near the midpoint of the session, Ottawa gained a power play and Alexandre Picard’s wrist shot from the left point barely missed the far post. Several minutes later, Jarkko Ruutu tried to put home a rebound at the right post, but Miller’s pad denied the attempt. With under six minutes remaining in regulation, Chris Kelly had a good look from a sharp angle to the left of the net, but the disc was directed away. With 4:20 on the clock, Spezza unleashed a slap shot from the lower left circle that Miller snared with his glove.’
