Sabres outlast Canadiens in shootout

Source: LetsGoSabres.com

‘Season openers are always packed with excitement and entertainment. This was a big way to open the season. Montreal is a team some have winning the Stanley Cup this year or, at the very least, the Northeast Division. For the Sabres to come out and play a strong two-way game against a team of Montreal’s calibur shows that the Sabres are ready to compete this year. Oh, and the fans? They are ready too. HSBC Arena was into this one, even with a mix of Canadiens fans in the building.’
