‘Chris Drury scored the series-clinching goal for the Rangers over the Devils, a fact that shouldn’t surprise anybody in these parts. Daniel Briere set up the series-clinching overtime goal for the Flyers over the Capitals in Game Seven. Briere is leading the NHL in playoff scoring with six goals and 11 points. His 1.57 points-per-game was fourth. Not bad after all the groaning around here about him failing to show up for the playoffs, even though he led the Sabres in postseason scoring two straight years. Martin Biron was the winning goalie for the Flyers. Sharks defenseman Brian Campbell set up the go-ahead goal in a Game Seven victory over the Flames. As if that wasn’t enough, another former Sabres captain, Stu Barnes, scored the series-clincher for the Stars over the Ducks. Yeeeah! Or. . . Noooo!’
eEx’ factor looms large
