'“It was better having gone to see him and be able to talk to him and tell him I love him and send him on his journey with him knowing that he meant a lot to me,” Miller said. “I actually felt good about the situation. We couldn’t save him, there was no chance. So we had to let him go and the best thing we could do was send him off with love and learn from him and be inspired as best we could.”'
