‘“My passion for doing the games hasn’t diminished in the least,” Lorentz said. “The thing that I hated was getting to the games when they were out of town. I’ve been doing the travel for so many years, I think it just caught up to me. It was a gut-wrenching decision to make. I just felt the time was right. All the ownerships treated me terrifically. It also was a positive experience for me and a great way to spend life after [playing] hockey.”’
