Sabres Beat Habs In Shootout 3-2

Source: WGR-AM

‘Montreal would elect to go first and Alexei Kovalev would give the Habs the lead in the shootout. Daniel Briere was next as he slipped the puck through Huet’s legs to even it up. Saku Koivu would try a similar move as Kovalev, but Miller would make the save. Thomas Vanek would give the Sabres the shootout lead with a slap shot from the slot that totally caught Huet off guard. Then Miller stopped Sergei Samsonov to clinch the 3-2 Buffalo shootout victory.’
