McKee jumps to St. Louis

Source: Buffalo News

'"I never asked for a number from anybody, even Buffalo," McKee said Saturday night. "I just wanted to sit back and see where the marketplace took it. One of the most awkward things is trying to value yourself. So I had no idea. I had an assumption that there was going to be teams out there that would do $3 million, possibly some at $3.5 [million]. But $4.0 [million], who knows? That wasn't something that I'd say I was expecting."'
