Five points

Source: Raleigh News and Observer

‘There was a subtle but significant change during Game 2. When Eric Staal and Cory Stillman had breakaways on Ryan Miller, both stickhandled themselves into the ice trying to beat him. Mental advantage: Miller. But Justin Williams’ goal in the third period was one Miller should have stopped, and he nearly gave up another soft goal when he couldn’t hang onto a glove save later in the third. Mental advantage: Carolina.’
