Chattering class disses Bills, Sabres

Source: Buffalo News

‘The so-called NHL experts are caught in a time warp. As far as I know Barry Melrose of ESPN hasn’t mentioned Buffalo yet. He’s still talking about Peter Forsberg of the Flyers without a mention of Ryan Miller stoning Forsberg in the last two games. The same for John Davidson of the MSG network, for whom the Sabres will forever stay anonymous. Melrose, Davidson and a lot like them are dinosaurs, hung up on the “if-we-can’t-beat-them-on-the-ice, we’ll-beat-them-in-the-alley” philosophy of Maple Leafs founder Conn Smythe nine decades ago.’
