‘Overall the Sabres played better than they did in their previous two games. Unfortunately the Hurricanes, who struggled themselves recently, also played better than they have recently. Ryan Miller let in two very questionable goals and while the Sabres did look better they still didn’t put in a full 60 minute effort. The loss is disconcerting because in all three recent losses the Sabres faced teams who stepped up their games to a playoff intensity and it was an intensity the Sabres couldn’t match.’
