NHL's labor limbo complicates Empire's future

Source: Buffalo News

'Adelphia is expected to continue talks with other cable entities, including Time Warner and the Madison Square Garden Network. Time Warner owns systems in Rochester and presumably would want to carry the Sabres on its own regional sports network and disband Empire. MSG would also be capable of carrying Sabres games into the Buffalo market. If it fails to sell Empire, Adelphia also could put the games on a local access channel and drop its regional sports network.'
