Tied up in Rochester

Source: Newark Star Ledger

'Except for local hero Brian Gionta, the Devils were never thrilled about playing a regular-season game in a minor-league arena with poor ice. The game was the brainchild of Buffalo Sabres owner and Rochester billionaire Tom Golisano. Rather than protest the request from NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello chose to show some good will and cooperate.'
