You can't blame him. Darcy Regier is on thin ice as general manager. Coaches almost invariably make a play for more power when they sense that the GM is weakened. It's amazing. In most NHL organizations, the coach wouldn't be out for more power after missing the playoffs two straight seasons. He'd be out of a job.'
