Wait-and-see game from Ruff could mean Regier's in trouble

Source: Buffalo News

'Lindy Ruff says he wants to be more "comfortable" with his roster before deciding whether to remain the Buffalo Sabres' head coach. He sounds like a man who wants more of a say in personnel matters. You can't blame him. Darcy Regier is on thin ice as general manager. Coaches almost invariably make a play for more power when they sense that the GM is weakened. It's amazing. In most NHL organizations, the coach wouldn't be out for more power after missing the playoffs two straight seasons. He'd be out of a job.'
