At the other end, Sabres goalie Martin Biron made 23 saves. He also recorded his second consecutive shutout and one of the more spectacular saves of the season. A minute into the second period, Penguins winger Shean Donovan had Biron dead to rights. Biron had fallen to the ice, with his back to Donovan as Donovan lifted a shot toward an open net. Biron somehow reached up with his glove and snagged the shot out of mid-air.
