The attendance of 16,406 was once again boosted by the minor hockey tournament in town (did the Senators request visits from Atlanta and Buffalo the past week?), but a lack of fans at the Corel Centre has not really been the problem some believe it is. After 19 home games, they have attracted an average of 16,370 per game, or just less than 200 shy of the 16,559 who had turned out at this point a year ago. The search continues for those people who used to buy the expensive seats in the lower bowls.
