'Ray expects his role with the team to be pretty much unchanged in providing leadership to the up-and-coming Sabres stars. "It's something older guys, we take pride in," said Ray, who has seen the club part with veteran players like Dave Andreychuk and Doug Gilmour over the summer months. "It's not just on the ice, it's off the ice and away from the arena, helping guys take care of things." He signed a one-year contract with the Sabres in July and wouldn't have it any other way. "It keeps you on your toes," he said.'
